More recently, there is a trend to have auto-injectors available in public spaces, a very important step for all the patients affected by severe allergies but also the ones that have not been diagnosed.
On November 13, 2013, President Obama signed into law the School Access to Emergency Epinephrine Act. The federal legislation provides a financial incentive for states to enact their own laws requiring schools to keep non-student specific epinephrine auto-injectors in case of an emergency. The law also provides schools with incentives to have more trained staff to be readily available during all school hours to administer the EpiPen when needed. Since then multiple states have passed legislation that permits or require epinephrine in schools as well as legislation that permits, but does not require at the moment, to stock undesignated epinephrine in various public venues for use in case of an emergency.
Other countries are following USA example. For example, UK has recently passed a new legislation, that comes into effect from 1 October 2017, alowing schools to keep spare adrenaline auto-injectors (AAIs) for emergency use.
We save by Adan Medical Innovation makes easier the management of the autoinjectors stocked in public places providing monitoring, visibility, instructions and awareness. It is as important having an autoinjector available as well as having it in good conditions!
