Be aware of your autoinjector temperature, wherever you go

EpiPen® or any other epinephrine auto injector should be stored between 15°C (59°F) and 30°C (86°F). What happens if it is stored at extreme temperatures?

The epinephrine wil1templ become ineffective and will not be of any use. However, it is very difficult to always stay within this temperature range. Summer temperatures that are higher than 30°C (86°F) and winter temperatures that are far lower 15°C (59°F). It is very important to control the temperature of your EpiPen and to be aware of whenever it is being exposed to extreme temperatures, that way you are able to control it. Are you worried about your EpiPen when you are at the beach or playing in the snow? Have you ever left your EpiPen in the car and you don’t know the temperature that it has reached? Our technology will monitor the temperature and warn the user, through their mobile phone, whenever the temperature is out of range. These features will enable the user to protect the epinephrine whenever it is possible.

Kimberly is the mother of two children, two of which are allergic to milk and eggs. She is constantly worried about the conditions of the epinephrine that they carry. One hot sunny day in Florida, Kimberly and her four children were on the beach and without even thinking about the temperature conditions, her AnAPPhylaxis notified her that the epinephrine was overheated and it was no longer useful.  Thankfully, Kimberly was notified before any reactions occurred and she was able to restock the EpiPen.
